Why US

If you’re looking for someone to help you build a more scalable and successful business that grows faster, generates more profit and yet requires less time and effort from you, your next question is, “So, why should I choose you over any other business growth coach/consultant?” Good question. Well, besides the fact that we’re really good at what we do, we think there are more than a few reasons why you should choose us.

Eight Reasons Why You Should Choose Us

1. We’re a one-stop shop for business growth coaching and consulting for small businesses.

There are a number of consultants and coaches who are good at one area of executive attention (for ex. marketing or money or leadership—or even a subset of an area—for example, referrals) but rarely are they good at all six. However, as the head of your business/organization, you need a business growth coach/consultant who gets all six key areas of executive attention and has intellectual property related to all six areas.

“Bruce gets it. Even though he’s never been the CEO of a $100M NGO, I can’t think of one subject that’s come up or one question that I’ve asked him over the past twelve months where he didn’t have something insightful and intelligent to contribute. We’ve discussed strategy issues, marketing issues, hiring issues, rebranding issues, speaking issues, leadership issues, managing issues, fund-raising issues, etc. and he always has something valuable to contribute. More importantly, he’s helped me be better at what I do. So, I highly recommend him as a business coach who really gets all the pieces of a CEO or President’s job.” Dave Evans, US President, Food for the Hungry

2. We’re all about scalability and success

Everything we do here at Wired To Grow is focused on helping you build a more scalable and successful business. We’re experts at helping you become great at what we call The-Three-Essentials-of-Scaling and The Six Key Areas of Executive Attention. When you combine these two frameworks (scalability and success), that’s when you create both a systems-dependent business that affords you the freedom you long for (vs. an owner-dependent business), as well as a more successful business that’s well-designed, well-led, well-managed, well-marketed and well-funded.

3. We’re good at both 50,000 feet and 5 feet

In other words, we’re good at both the strategic level and the tactical level. Most coaches/consultants are good at one or the other—but we play well at both. While you’ll always hear us say, “Strategy first,” we also know that ideas don’t get executed well unless the details get taken care of. Which is why we’re really good at digging down to the little stuff that needs to be executed because it’s frequently the little stuff that trips up big ideas.

4. We’re a value-based/fixed fee firm.

Having used consultants ourselves, we hate being charged by the hour (or every six minutes). If you have a question, you should be free to contact your consultant and not be afraid that you’re going to be charged extra for it—which is one of the reasons why we use a value-based/fixed free approach. 5. We’re local for lowcountry businesses.

While we coach people across the United States in our WTG Coaching club, the majority of our consulting work is done in the Mount Pleasant and Charleston, SC area. So, if you’re in the Charleston metro region and you don’t want to have to pay for a plane flight every time you need help from us, give us a call.

6. We only work with business owners and entrepreneurial CEOs (or whatever designation you use for the person at the top of your business).

In order for change to really take root in a small business, you, the owner or CEO, have to own the change and be a champion of it. Therefore, we do virtually all of our work with the person at the top of a business or organization (and their top team). Note: This doesn’t mean we won’t work with a team of managers on a skills issue, but it would always be in connection with a strategic initiative that you’ve signed off on.

7. We’ve done it.

Our founder previously built a multi-million dollar business from scratch between 1989 and 2005 before becoming a consultant/coach/author/speaker. He used to be the pastor of a large church which he started with two families that grew to two thousand people and $2.7M in revenue under his leadership. So he understands what it’s like to start something from scratch and then to build it into something large. In fact, for the first decade, his church grew at an average of 30.5% per year for ten years straight.

8. We’re great communicators.

Some people know how to do something, but can’t teach it. Others know how to teach it, but haven’t done it. We’re the rare combination of those who’ve both done it and can teach it. Plus, you don’t want to work with someone who can’t communicate well.
